I know this task is already finished and crossed of the list (or made bold...), but I wanted to report that I actually went swimming in the sea this past Saturday. Boyfriend and I had to get out of our hot house and drove to the beach. After sitting there reading for an hour, I got in the water. And swam for several minutes!
I haven't been in the sea for about two years...

011. Go to the ocean five times (5/5)
Done!!!
Thursday last week was a national holiday here in Sweden and we had time off from work. My boyfriend and I took the car and drove down south to walk along the waterfront for an hour. The weather was amazing with clear blue sky, sunshine and hardly any wind at all.
This task could've been cleared as done earlier than this as I've been by the ocean a couple of times in between this post and the one before it... Those times weren't on purpose though and I decided to only count the ones that actually made me go to the ocean and not the times were the ocean just "happened to be there"...

011. Go to the ocean five times (4/5)
Last Saturday we spent an hour at the waterfront. We had planned to stay much longer but the weather turned boring. The sky became overcast and the wind was just too strong and cold to be enjoyable. After an hour we gave up and drove home.

011. Go to the ocean five times (3/5)
The weekend was just as warm as the last one was. Or even warmer. Boyfriend and I went to the beach on Sunday to cool off some. He swam for a bit while I stood with water up to my knees and whined about the coolness...

011. Go to the ocean five times (2/5)
I forgot to report about going to the ocean on Sunday. Well, technically, we didn't go the "ocean" but to a sound, but I'm not being picky here. With "going to the ocean" I mean "going to open water that's not a lake or stream of any sort".
The weather was real nice, high temperatures, sunshine and a wind to keep the heat off. Boyfriend got into the water whereas I only dipped my toes in. Too cold for me!

011. Go to the ocean five times (1/5)
This task has had me thinking for the last couple of weeks. What does "go to the ocean" actually mean? Especially living close to water. Do I have to make an effort to actually go to the ocean (having that as my purpose for being there) or does driving to a restaurant by the water count? Even when the food was the purpose and the restaurant just happened to be by the water front? Or does sleeping in a hotel count if the hotel is close to the water but I didn't actually make an effort to go down to the water?
Well, I've decided to count the times I go to the ocean deliberately to see the water.

Last week, I was sent out of town for work and I ended up going to an island. One night there I brought my camera and a book and walked down to the waterfront. I sat there for quite some time and enjoyed myself. Heard the waves roll in. Saw the sun moving closer to the water. Read. Took pictures. Smiled at the couple making out on the lawn behind me.
