Done!!!
Yesterday I participated in another knit night at my favourite LYS. The place was crowded!!! I think we were 16 knitters (and two baby boys) there. A lot of conversations were going on at the same time and the sound level was fairly high at times. I got to see some great yarns and projects and I really enjoy the inspiring environment in the shop.
We were served chocolate mud cake, carrot cake with frosting and chocolate chip cookies. Nomnomnom...

When I set this task I didn't know I'd find such a great knitting group. I was searching for a group (and place) I liked and then read about this LYS in the paper... I tried it out and have kept returning every other week.
If I hadn't found this group I'd have a much harder time finishing this task, as I'd have to search around for idfferent groups or arrange knit-togethers at my own place with friends. Much more work on my part...

064. Knit with others at least ten times (9/10)
Another really nice evening in the yarn store. I think there were ten of us, knitting and chatting. And eating. :)
I brought my Muir (a lace shawl) and felt good about completing 12 rows. I think I'll force myself to knit two or four rows on Muir before being allowed to knit anything else in the evenings. That way, Muir might actully be finished sometime!
I bought yarn. Couldn't resist. A dark chocolate brown wool. I'm quite happy with it. :)

064. Knit with others at least ten times (8/10)
When I wrote this task I didn't know I'd find such a great group and LYS to knit with and in. Now fulfilling this task won't be any trouble at all.
Yesterday I brought my Laminaria and did a repeat of the Blossom chart while talking to the others (5 "old" ones and 4 new faces!), admiring their work and yarn, and having chocolate-ginger-brownies, carrot cake cookies with icing and lemon sponge-cake. And a new tea blend! Kärlekste/Love tea. :)

064. Knit with others at least ten times (7/10)
Another knit night with the others. I completed a couple of rows on Muir, had excellent plum pie and spent a ton of money on fabric for my quilt...
Nice company and many laughs. As always. I like this group.

064. Knit with others at least ten times (6/10)
Knit night again! I brought my Laminaria with me and worked some on that. Not as much as I hoped to, but that was entirely my own fault. I spent too much time eating cinnamon buns and chocolate mud cake with vanilla ice cream, or I was fondling yarn.
I made purchases!!! Yes, in plural. There's a silk yarn I've been fondling every single time I've been to the shop and I've wanted it so badly. My problem has been the decision of what colour to chose. There's a lighter olive green that I love, and there's a raspberry red one. Tonight I got some help from one of the other girls there who couldn't make up her mind either. We bought one hank each and split them in two. So I got 300m of each for a summery scarf!
I also myself some off-white, lightly toffee coloured wool yarn from ViKanGarn. I got 300g, which is about 1000m, in the thinner lace quality. Since I first saw the collection in the store, I've known that I would get some of this yarn for myself. I just couldn't decide on colour. (Feel like a parrot here!) Tonight I could.
Am very happy with my purchases!!!
And had a good time as always when at knit night. :)

064. Knit with others at least ten times (5/10)
Thursday night I went to a knit-together again. I originally had other plans but these were cancelled during the day. I wasn't too sad as I thought I could need a slow night at home instead. Just before leaving work in the afternoon, I checked some blogs (yes, during work hours!) and was happy to see Annas Garndrömmar mentioning going to a knit-together later at night...
My quiet night at home got cancelled and I biked to the yarn store.
Had a good time again. I worked on Muir again and I'm happy to report that I am now more than halfway on this! Got really inspired by everyone's projects and my mind started racing. I nearly bought yarn for a Laminaria, but in the end decided against it. For now. I wanted to check my project list first and go through the yarns I already have.
So, Thursday's knit night pushed me to complete task number 073. The one about taking pictures of my yarn stash and add it all to Ravelry.

064. Knit with others at least ten times (4/10)
I've been busy doing things for work on three "every-other-Thursdays" in a row, and I haven't been able to attend knit night in ages. But I was able to go last week. And had a good time again.
The group was bigger than I've seen it before. One or two of the others were new to me. We were fed rhubarb-and-plum-pie with ice cream, chocolate chip cookies and a citrus cake. Good as always. We joked about the owner of the store opening up a combined café-and-yarn-store as she's just as good with cakes and cookies as she is with yarn.
There's usually tea for everyone but I doubt anyone took any this time. The store was awfully warm and stupid me had changed into jeans as I didn't want to bike through town in a skirt and my shorts were in the laundry... We had two fans going and we consumed pitcher after pitcher of water...
I worked on the striped cardigan for my colleague's baby boy and nearly finished the front panel!

064. Knit with others at least ten times (3/10)
Went to a knit-together yesterday. Same yarn store and almost the same people. We're not a big group. Far from it. But it's cozy. It's a great store. A super friendly owner. Beautiful yarn on the shelves. And the owner makes the best tea, cakes and cookies ever! She spoils us!
I took my Muir and accomplished 14 rows! Quite proud of that. As I was talking and listening and having tea and fondling yarn as well.

064. Knit with others at least ten times (2/10)
I spent three hours yesterday evening knitting, chatting, drinking tea and eating carrot muffins with three other knitters. It's the second time I go to this yarn store's open knit night and I really like it there. It's a small store with a great selection of yarns that I've never seen before. She sells a lot of Danish yarns.
I ended up buying yarn for the bolero on the front page of this book. I've always thought I can't wear short boleros as I'm tall and it'd look as if I bought a cardigan in a kid's store or shrunk the cardigan when washing it. Or ran out of yarn in case it looks homemade. But... I ahve a tall colleague and she wore the cutest bolero a couple of weeks ago and it didn't look strange at all. So, I'm giving it a shot. Wish me luck and hold your thumbs! :)

064. Knit with others at least ten times (1/10)
Yesterday I attended a knit-together arranged in a yarn store I'd never been to before. I read about the store in the newpaper a couple of days ago and realized they had knit nights every other week.
I had a really good time. We were there for three hours and the others were very friendly. I didn't pick up any bad vibes from the others. You know the kind: I-knit-more-advanced-things-than-you-do-so-I-am-better-than-you-are... We were fed three different kinds of cake/cookies to go with our coffee or tea. And they were all home made by the woman owning the store.
I worked on the baby cardigan I'm making for a friend's baby. Unfortunately I didn't have the right needles with me to start the front panels so I spent about an hour looking at the different yarns instead of knitting. (And no, I didn't just look. I also fondled.)
I will definately go back!
